A Dallas mom transforms a toddler's nativity moment into a meaningful new Christmas tradition for Christian households with the launch of Finding Jesus.
A Calling Rooted in Scripture
Lillian describes Finding Jesus as the Lord's project, not her own. From its inception, she felt strongly that the product should be built on scripture alone, without added commentary. Her desire was for families to experience God's Word directly, supported by visuals that are both joyful for children and meaningful for adults.
She prayed for guidance at each step, including for a talented artist to bring the concept to life. Within days, a friend mentioned her sister, Lauren Cox, a gifted illustrator who turned out to be the perfect fit. Lauren's art captured the essence of the idea, bringing playful beauty to each scene without overshadowing the message.
What Sets Finding Jesus Apart
Each day during the 24-day countdown to Christmas, parents hide the 12-inch plush Jesus doll somewhere around their home and in the morning they encourage their children to find Jesus, where they will discover a double-sided puzzle piece paired with a Bible verse and illustration. As the days progress, the pieces form a beautiful picture of the Nativity, displayed in a custom puzzle frame.
Unlike some seasonal traditions that feel rushed or complicated, Finding Jesus is intentionally simple. It invites families to slow down, reflect, and engage daily with God's Word in a way that is hands-on, joyful, and spiritually grounding.
